Legend of Zelda Fan Thread
As you may have guessed from the title, this is a thread for all you Zelda fans out there.
You can talk about anything and everything Zelda related. That means old games, new games, merchandise, etc. Whatever your little brains desire!

Re: Legend of Zelda Fan Thread
You remember those two Game Boy Color games that Capcom worked on, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons? I just recently started a Main Link from Seasons to Ages. It is a nice game, although, I like Link's Awakening better.
My favorite Zelda games would probably be... Link's Awakening, then Wind Waker, then Ages/Seasons, then Adventure of Link, then Majora's Mask.

Oh, the CD-I Zelda games. Yeah, those things are great (terrible to play, fun to watch). I CAN'T WAIT TO BOMB SOME DODONGOS!
The reason why I excluded OOT was because I think, in terms of gameplay, MM was not only more fun, but it controlled a bit better too. Control is a huge issue with me and OOT.

Oracle of Ages/Seasons was great.
I remember when they first came out.
>.>
I picked the blue one (Ages) because... Well it was blue..
I found them really hard though.
But thats just me.
I think all Zelda games are hard.
Excluding Minish Cap.
I'm still playing that buts its both fun and easy for me.

Re: Legend of Zelda Fan Thread
They lacked direction, I think. If you didn't have a guide, you really wouldn't know where to go or what to do next, without wandering aimlessly.
But that is true with pretty much every Zelda game, though. *I'm looking at you, Legend of Zelda*

that is true some are better than others but for the most they all lack direction

They've gotten better, though, like in windwaker. I only played that one for a little bit, but it seemed pretty solid to me.

Re: Legend of Zelda Fan Thread
You don't wander aimlessly.
you wander in a specific direction that has a fish in it that goes:
"Ssshhhhmmeeeeeeeeh~!"
Then you get a map.
Yay.
And yhea.
It all depends on the player.
I'm not good at Zelda games because I lack the way of thinking that it requires.
Its doesn't help that I grew up on Harvest moon and based games that require a more finacial base.

Re: Legend of Zelda Fan Thread
I make it a point to stay away from stradegies guides and the like. I prefer to figure it out myself. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something.
Ocarina of Time was an amazing game. It was the first Zelda game I ever played and it got me hooked on it. I have to admit, though, that I did steal(steal meaning borrowed) my cousins' stradegy guide for that game though. But that's only because, like I said, it was the first Zelda game I had played and I hadn't quite gotte the hang of it yet.
Now, I'm proud to say I beat Wind Waker, Minish Cap, and Twilight Princess without stradegy guides. I've got Four Swords, but I kind of lost interest in it after a while....>.> I also have those old NES games they re-made for Gameboy that....I unfortunatley, must say were really boring. I think they're the Legend of Link and the original Legend of Zelda. I wasn't able to play them for more then 5 minutes without getting bored.

Re: Legend of Zelda Fan Thread
I probably could if I wanted to. But who wants to rush through a game? I always hear people brag about how fast they beat games. I lik to take my time playing games. I like to experience it, take it all in, do the side quests and stuff like that.
Though, I did beat Twlight Princess in three weeks. I cried when it was over. Really. I cried for like, 15 minutes mabye? Hah, kind of sad, I know. But it was an awsome game and I was sad that it was over.

Hah, I want to see them! Just so I can sit there and laugh at how non-Zelda-ish they are.
I was told about them, but I've never actually seen any episodes. I've seen short clips of the episodes of Link saying "WEll excuuuuuse me, Princess."

Re: Legend of Zelda Fan Thread
Haha, personally I like playing Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, and Link's Awakening. It's still fun to play on the ole gameboy color, eh? Damn right it is...
Heh, but I have played all the Zelda games and succesfully beat them, I have to say I enjoy them all.
Zelda does get on my nerves though xD What's up with always getting captured? I mean, I know it's a necessity to go save Zelda all the time, but come on. Take better care of yourself girl!! XD Haha, just kidding.
Anyway, gotta go post on forums on Gaia, I should be paying more attention to those. >__>

Re: Legend of Zelda Fan Thread
Well, if we can get more people to join the forum, then maybe it will be possible. As of right now, I'm working on organizing what we got and advertising, so that'll be that right now.
